Ready to Wear vs Made to Order: What's the Difference?

Ordering handmade jewellery isn’t quite as simple as click, love, next-day delivery—this isn’t mass production. While I do keep a small number of pieces in stock for quick dispatch, most designs are only made once you place your order. Because each piece varies in complexity, the making time can differ quite a bit. I’ve updated the website to make that clearer—so you always know what to expect, whether you need something fast or you’re happy to wait for something made just for you.

If you’ve browsed the new website recently, you might’ve noticed some changes—especially when it comes to how you shop. There are now 2 different buying options.... 

🔹 Ready to Wear
These are the pieces I currently have in stock or those I can make quickly. They’re ideal for when you need a bold new statement now. Expect dispatch within 3–10 days. You’ll know it’s a got a speedy dispatch time  when you see the “Add to Cart” button. Want to browse them all in one place? Just head to the new Ready to Wear page.

🔹 Made to Order
Some pieces take a little longer—especially if they require external hallmarking or gold plating. When not in stock, these are made just for you and can take up to 8 weeks. These items have a pink "Made to Order" badge you can see when browsing, and when it comes time to order you'll see a  “Preorder Now” button (instead of Add to Cart). There is a also new Made to Order page to only see these items when shopping. 

On the bottom of every product page, there is a “Making + Delivery Time” section with times frames and details that are more specific for each collection.  If you need a more precise delivery date, please get in touch any time and I can always try to expedite your order.
